Claiming a Business Profile
Effective May 10, 2026. Last updated May 10, 2026.
A Business Owner or an Authorized Representative may request administrative control of an existing Business Listing by completing the business claiming process made available through the Platform. Claiming a Business Listing is intended to enable the legitimate representative of a Business to manage and maintain the information associated with that Business on the Platform.
To initiate a claim, the requesting party must complete the procedures specified by Peeptown from time to time and provide any information or documentation reasonably required to verify their identity, authority, or relationship with the Business. Depending on the circumstances, Peeptown may request business registration records, government-issued identification, proof of employment, domain ownership verification, email verification, telephone verification, official correspondence, authorization letters, or other supporting documentation that Peeptown reasonably considers appropriate.
Submission of a claim does not guarantee approval. Peeptown reserves the right to review each request independently and may approve, reject, suspend, defer, or request additional information where necessary to verify the claimant's authority or to protect the integrity of the Platform. Peeptown may also decline a claim where the information provided is incomplete, inconsistent, misleading, fraudulent, or insufficient to establish the claimant's authority.
Where multiple individuals or entities seek to claim the same Business Listing, Peeptown may suspend the claiming process until the ownership or authority dispute has been reasonably resolved. Peeptown may request additional documentation from one or more parties and may determine, in its reasonable discretion, whether administrative control should be granted, withheld, transferred, or limited. Peeptown is not required to adjudicate private legal disputes relating to business ownership, employment, contractual relationships, or corporate governance and may require the parties to resolve such disputes independently before further action is taken.
Upon successful verification, Peeptown may grant the approved claimant administrative access to the Business Listing. Administrative access may include the ability to update Business Information, manage products or services, respond to customer interactions where supported by the Platform, upload additional content, access business management features, and perform other actions made available through the applicable account or subscription.
Administrative control of a Business Listing does not transfer ownership of the Platform, the underlying software, the Platform's design, search systems, metadata, or any intellectual property owned by Peeptown. Likewise, successful verification does not grant the claimant unrestricted authority to use the Platform in violation of applicable laws, this Policy, the Terms of Service, or any other Platform policies.
Business Owners and Authorized Representatives who have successfully claimed a Business Listing are responsible for maintaining the accuracy, completeness, and legality of the information under their control. They must promptly update material changes to the Business and ensure that all content published after claiming continues to comply with the Platform's policies and applicable legal requirements.
Peeptown reserves the right to revoke, suspend, restrict, or transfer administrative control of a Business Listing if it reasonably determines that verification was obtained through fraud, misrepresentation, unauthorized access, inaccurate information, expired authority, or any other violation of this Policy or applicable law. Where reasonably practicable, Peeptown may notify the affected account holder before taking such action, although immediate action may be taken where necessary to protect users, Businesses, the Platform, or to comply with legal obligations.
Nothing in this Policy obligates Peeptown to approve every claim request or to grant administrative control solely because an application has been submitted. All claim requests remain subject to Peeptown's verification procedures, internal review processes, applicable legal requirements, and the continued compliance of the claimant with the Platform's policies.
