Types of Legal Requests and Complaints
Peeptown may receive different types of legal requests and complaints relating to business profiles, user activity, content, or information available on the Platform. Each request is reviewed based on the specific circumstances, available evidence, applicable law, and relevant Peeptown policies.
The following are common categories of legal requests and complaints:
5.1 Reporting Fake Business Profiles
Individuals or organizations may report business profiles that they believe are fake, fraudulent, misleading, or created without a legitimate connection to an actual business.
A complaint regarding a fake business profile may include concerns such as:
- a business that does not exist;
- a profile containing fabricated business information;
- a listing created with the intent to mislead customers;
- false claims about ownership, services, locations, or operations; or
- a profile used for fraudulent or deceptive purposes.
Peeptown may review available information, request supporting evidence, and take appropriate action where a violation of applicable law or Platform policies is identified.
5.2 Reporting Business Impersonation
Business impersonation complaints may be submitted when a person or entity believes that another party is falsely representing themselves as that business, owner, employee, representative, or authorized partner.
Examples may include:
- unauthorized use of a business name to mislead customers;
- false claims of ownership or affiliation;
- misleading contact information directing customers to another party; or
- attempts to obtain customers, payments, or business opportunities through misrepresentation.
Peeptown may request proof of ownership, authorization, or other relevant information to evaluate impersonation claims.
5.3 Reporting Fraudulent or Deceptive Activities
Users, businesses, or authorities may report activities that appear fraudulent, deceptive, or intended to harm customers, businesses, or the integrity of the Platform.
Reports may include allegations involving:
- fraudulent business practices;
- misleading offers, claims, or advertisements;
- fake services, products, or credentials;
- attempts to collect payments through deceptive methods; or
- misuse of the Platform for unlawful commercial activity.
Peeptown may investigate such reports and may take enforcement actions where appropriate.
5.4 Reporting Inaccurate Business Information
Complaints may be submitted when business information displayed on the Platform is believed to be inaccurate, outdated, misleading, or incorrectly associated with a business.
Examples may include:
- incorrect business name, address, or contact information;
- incorrect operating information;
- inaccurate services or product information;
- duplicate or incorrectly associated profiles; or
- information that may mislead customers.
Business information concerns may also be handled under Peeptown's Business Profile Correction & Removal Policy where applicable.
5.5 Reporting Privacy Concerns
Individuals may submit complaints regarding potential privacy violations involving personal information displayed, submitted, or processed through the Platform.
Privacy-related complaints may include:
- unauthorized display of personal information;
- requests relating to personal data rights;
- concerns about misuse of personal information; or
- privacy issues involving business profiles, user accounts, or submitted content.
Privacy requests may also be reviewed under Peeptown's Privacy Policy and applicable data protection procedures.
5.6 Reporting Intellectual Property Violations
Rights holders or authorized representatives may submit complaints regarding alleged infringement of intellectual property rights, including:
- copyright infringement;
- trademark infringement;
- unauthorized use of brand assets;
- misuse of logos, images, or protected materials; or
- unauthorized representation of a brand or organization.

5.7 Reporting Illegal or Restricted Content
Reports may be submitted regarding content or activities that may violate applicable laws, regulatory requirements, or Peeptown's Platform policies.
Examples may include:
- illegal products or services;
- restricted or prohibited activities;
- unlawful promotional content;
- content that creates safety risks; or
- other material that may require legal review.
Peeptown evaluates such reports based on the seriousness of the issue, applicable law, available evidence, and potential impact on users and the public.
