Business Verification Policy
How Peeptown may verify business identity, ownership, authorization, and verified status.
Appeals and Reconsideration
Effective May 10, 2026. Last updated May 10, 2026.
Peeptown may, at its discretion, permit applicants or verified businesses to request reconsideration of certain verification decisions, including the rejection, suspension, or revocation of Verified Business status. The availability of an appeal or reconsideration process does not create a contractual right to review, nor does it obligate Peeptown to reverse or modify any verification decision.
14.1 Requesting an Appeal
An applicant or verified business may submit an appeal or request for reconsideration using the procedures made available by Peeptown. Appeals should clearly identify the verification decision being challenged and include any additional information or supporting documentation that the applicant believes is relevant to the review.
Peeptown may decline to consider appeals that are incomplete, repetitive, abusive, submitted without materially new information, or otherwise fail to satisfy the requirements of this Policy.
14.2 Additional Evidence
During the appeal process, Peeptown may request additional documentation, clarification, or other evidence reasonably necessary to reassess the verification request. The applicant is responsible for providing accurate, complete, and timely responses to any such requests.
Failure to provide requested information within a reasonable period may result in the appeal being closed or the original verification decision remaining in effect.
14.3 Review and Determination
Appeals and requests for reconsideration may be reviewed using automated systems, manual review, or a combination of both. Peeptown may consider any information available at the time of the appeal, including newly submitted evidence, updated records, information obtained from independent sources, or changes in relevant circumstances.
Following review, Peeptown may:
- uphold the original decision;
- approve or restore Verified Business status;
- request additional information before reaching a final decision;
- require completion of a new verification process; or
- take any other action reasonably appropriate under this Policy.
14.4 Final Decision
Verification decisions made following an appeal or reconsideration process are final unless Peeptown, in its sole discretion, determines that further review is appropriate. Peeptown is not obligated to conduct multiple reviews of the same verification request or to provide a detailed explanation of its internal assessment, verification procedures, fraud prevention measures, or decision-making criteria.
Nothing in this Section limits Peeptown's continuing right to review, suspend, revoke, or modify Verified Business status if new information becomes available or circumstances materially change after an appeal has been concluded.
