Business Verification Policy
How Peeptown may verify business identity, ownership, authorization, and verified status.
Verification Review Process
Effective May 10, 2026. Last updated May 10, 2026.
Peeptown reviews each verification request using procedures designed to reasonably assess whether the applicant is authorized to manage the relevant business profile. The verification process may include automated systems, manual review, third-party verification services, public records, supporting documentation, or any combination of these methods.
Verification requests are reviewed based on the information available at the time of assessment. Peeptown reserves the right to determine the scope, depth, and sequence of its review and is not obligated to disclose its internal verification procedures, fraud prevention measures, risk assessment criteria, or decision-making processes.
8.1 Initial Review
Upon receipt of a verification request, Peeptown may conduct an initial review to determine whether the application appears complete and contains sufficient information to begin the verification process. Incomplete applications may be delayed, suspended, or returned to the applicant for additional information.
8.2 Automated and Manual Review
Verification requests may be evaluated through automated verification systems, manual review by authorized personnel, or a combination of both. Automated processes may assist in validating business information, detecting inconsistencies, identifying potential fraud, or assessing other verification-related factors. Manual review may be conducted where additional assessment is considered necessary.
8.3 Requests for Additional Information
Where the information initially provided is insufficient to complete the verification process, Peeptown may request additional documentation, clarification, or supporting evidence. Failure to provide requested information within a reasonable period may result in the verification request being delayed, closed, or rejected.
8.4 Verification Timeframes
Verification timeframes vary depending on the complexity of the request, the responsiveness of the applicant, the availability of supporting information, technical factors, fraud prevention reviews, and operational workload. Peeptown does not guarantee that verification requests will be reviewed or completed within any specific period.
8.5 Risk Assessment
As part of the verification process, Peeptown may perform risk-based assessments intended to identify circumstances that may require additional review. Factors considered may include inconsistencies in submitted information, unusual account activity, conflicting ownership claims, suspected fraud, high-risk industries, legal or regulatory requirements, or other circumstances reasonably relevant to the verification request.
Where Peeptown reasonably determines that additional review is necessary, it may pause the verification process, request further information, conduct enhanced verification procedures, or decline to proceed until outstanding concerns have been satisfactorily resolved.
Verification decisions are based on the totality of the information reasonably available at the time of review. Peeptown reserves the right to approve, reject, defer, suspend, or reopen any verification request where additional information becomes available or where circumstances materially change after a decision has been made.
