Business Verification Policy

A business profile may be claimed only by an individual or entity that has legitimate authority to manage the business on whose behalf the claim is submitted. Peeptown may require reasonable evidence of such authority before granting administrative control of a business profile.

5.1 Business Owners

The legal owner or owners of a business may submit a request to claim and manage the associated business profile. Where ownership cannot be readily verified, Peeptown may request additional documentation before approving the claim.

5.2 Officers and Directors

For companies, corporations, partnerships, limited liability entities, and other registered organizations, a director, officer, partner, member, or other individual with appropriate managerial authority may claim a business profile on behalf of the organization.

5.3 Employees

An employee may claim a business profile only where the employee has been expressly authorized by the business to administer or manage the profile. Peeptown may require confirmation of such authorization from the business or through official business records or communications.

5.4 Authorized Agencies and Representatives

Marketing agencies, consultants, legal representatives, accountants, business managers, franchise management companies, or other third parties may claim or manage a business profile only when they have been duly authorized by the business. Peeptown may request evidence demonstrating the existence and scope of that authorization at any time.

5.5 Franchise and Multi-location Businesses

For franchise organizations, corporate groups, chains, or businesses operating multiple locations, a claim may be submitted by the corporate owner, franchise owner, regional manager, location manager, or another individual authorized to manage the relevant business location or locations. Peeptown may require documentation establishing the relationship between the claimant and the business entity or specific location.

5.6 Proof of Authority

Peeptown may request one or more forms of evidence to verify a claimant's authority, including business registration records, official business communications, email verification using a business domain, corporate documentation, government records, letters of authorization, identity verification, or any other information reasonably necessary to evaluate the claim.

Submission of a claim does not create any right to obtain or retain administrative control of a business profile. Peeptown may deny, suspend, or revoke a claim where it reasonably believes that the claimant lacks sufficient authority, has provided inaccurate or misleading information, is involved in a dispute regarding ownership or management rights, or otherwise fails to satisfy the requirements of this Policy.

Where multiple parties claim authority over the same business profile, Peeptown may suspend the verification or claim process until the dispute has been resolved to its reasonable satisfaction. Peeptown is not obligated to adjudicate private ownership, contractual, employment, partnership, franchise, or corporate disputes and may require the parties to resolve such disputes independently before taking further action.
