Legal Requests & Complaints Policy
Business Owner Notification
Peeptown recognizes the importance of procedural fairness and transparency when a complaint or legal request relates to a business profile, business information, account activity, or content associated with a business.
Where appropriate and legally permitted, Peeptown may notify the affected business owner, profile manager, account holder, or authorized representative that a complaint or legal request has been received and is being reviewed.
A notification may include:
- the general nature of the complaint or request;
- information required to provide a response or clarification;
- an opportunity to submit supporting documents or relevant evidence; and
- applicable timelines or next steps in the review process.
Peeptown may withhold certain information from notifications where disclosure may:
- violate privacy obligations;
- compromise an investigation;
- reveal confidential information;
- create security risks;
- interfere with legal proceedings; or
- be restricted by applicable law or instructions from authorities.
Business owners and authorized representatives are responsible for ensuring that information associated with their business profile remains accurate and that they respond to legitimate requests for clarification or verification when required.
Receiving a complaint notification does not mean that Peeptown has determined that any violation has occurred. All matters are reviewed based on the available information, supporting evidence, applicable law, and relevant Platform policies.
Peeptown may proceed with appropriate action even if an affected business owner does not respond within a reasonable timeframe, where action is necessary to protect users, comply with legal obligations, or maintain Platform integrity.
