Peeptown's standards for business listings, public business information, marketplace display, and listing accuracy.
Rights and Responsibilities of Business Owners
Effective May 10, 2026. Last updated May 10, 2026.
Business Owners and Authorized Representatives who claim and manage a Business Listing are responsible for ensuring that all information published under their administrative control remains accurate, complete, current, and compliant with this Policy, the Terms of Service, and all applicable laws and regulations. Administrative access to a Business Listing carries ongoing responsibilities intended to protect consumers, maintain the integrity of the Platform, and support the accuracy of publicly available business information.
Upon successful verification, an authorized Business Owner or Authorized Representative may, subject to the features available on the Platform and the applicable subscription or service level, update Business Information, modify business descriptions, manage products and services, upload or replace images and other content, update contact details and operating hours, respond to customer interactions where supported, and access other business management features made available by Peeptown from time to time.
Business Owners are responsible for ensuring that every person granted access to manage a Business Listing has the necessary authority to act on behalf of the Business. Any action performed through an authorized business account, including updates, content submissions, communications, or account management activities, shall be deemed to have been performed on behalf of the Business unless demonstrated otherwise.
Business Owners must promptly update their Business Listing whenever material changes occur, including changes to the Business name, ownership, legal status, contact information, operating locations, business hours, products, services, licensing, regulatory approvals, or any other information that may reasonably influence a user's decision to engage with the Business.
Business Owners must not use the Platform to publish false, misleading, deceptive, defamatory, unlawful, or infringing content, manipulate search visibility or customer perception through inaccurate information, impersonate another person or Business, misuse verification status, interfere with the operation of the Platform, or otherwise violate Peeptown's policies or applicable laws. Business Owners remain solely responsible for all content published under their administrative control and for ensuring that they possess all necessary rights, permissions, and legal authority relating to such content.
Where a Business Listing is managed by multiple administrators, employees, consultants, agencies, or other representatives, the Business Owner is responsible for appropriately managing access permissions and ensuring that former employees, contractors, or representatives who are no longer authorized are promptly removed from the account. Peeptown shall not be responsible for disputes arising from a Business's internal management of account access or administrative authority.
Business Owners are expected to cooperate with reasonable requests made by Peeptown during verification procedures, investigations, policy enforcement actions, fraud prevention activities, ownership disputes, security reviews, or legal compliance processes. Failure to provide requested information or documentation within a reasonable period may result in temporary restrictions, suspension of administrative access, removal of specific content, or other actions permitted under this Policy.
Nothing in this Policy guarantees that a claimed Business Listing will receive any particular ranking, visibility, search placement, customer enquiries, verification badge, promotional benefit, commercial opportunity, or continued availability on the Platform. Peeptown retains sole discretion over the operation of its search systems, recommendation features, categorization, moderation processes, and Platform functionality, subject to applicable law and any separate written agreement with the Business.
Business Owners remain solely responsible for complying with all applicable legal, regulatory, licensing, tax, advertising, consumer protection, privacy, intellectual property, and industry-specific requirements relating to their Business and the information they publish through the Platform. The publication or administration of a Business Listing through Peeptown does not relieve any Business of its independent legal obligations or transfer such obligations to Peeptown.
