Business Listing Policy
Peeptown's standards for business listings, public business information, marketplace display, and listing accuracy.
Purpose of this Business Listing Policy
Effective May 10, 2026. Last updated May 10, 2026.
The purpose of this Business Listing Policy is to establish a clear, transparent, and consistent framework governing the submission, publication, management, moderation, claiming, verification, and maintenance of business listings made available through the Peeptown Platform. This Policy is intended to protect the integrity of the Platform while providing businesses, users, and visitors with a clear understanding of the standards and procedures applicable to business listings.
As an online business discovery platform, Peeptown facilitates the publication of business information submitted by business owners, authorized representatives, and other users. Because information published on the Platform may originate from multiple sources, this Policy establishes the standards that apply to all business listings regardless of who submitted the information or whether the listing has been claimed by the business.
This Policy defines the responsibilities of users who create or manage business listings, the responsibilities of businesses that claim and administer their profiles, and the rights reserved by Peeptown to review, organize, moderate, verify, edit formatting, categorize, suspend, or remove listings where necessary to maintain the quality, reliability, security, and lawful operation of the Platform.
Another important purpose of this Policy is to promote accurate and responsible publication of business information. Businesses and users are expected to provide truthful, complete, and current information to the best of their knowledge and to promptly update business listings whenever material changes occur. Maintaining accurate business information benefits both businesses seeking to communicate with customers and users relying on the Platform to make informed decisions.
This Policy also establishes the principles governing business ownership claims and verification. Where a business listing has been created by a person other than the business owner, Peeptown provides mechanisms through which an authorized representative may claim administrative control of the listing, verify their authority to represent the business, and manage the information displayed on the Platform in accordance with applicable verification requirements.
In addition, this Policy explains that the publication of a business listing should not be interpreted as an endorsement, recommendation, certification, partnership, sponsorship, approval, or guarantee by Peeptown regarding any business, product, service, individual, or organization appearing on the Platform. The Platform is intended to facilitate business discovery and access to information, and users remain responsible for exercising their own judgment when selecting or engaging with any listed business.
Finally, this Policy is intended to support compliance with applicable laws, protect the rights and legitimate interests of businesses and users, preserve the integrity of the Platform, reduce fraudulent or misleading business information, safeguard intellectual property rights, and ensure that business listings are administered in a fair, transparent, and consistent manner across all jurisdictions in which Peeptown operates or makes its services available.
