Unclaimed Business Profiles
Effective May 10, 2026. Last updated May 10, 2026.
A Business Listing may exist on the Platform without having been claimed by the Business Owner or an Authorized Representative. Such listings are referred to as Unclaimed Business Profiles. An Unclaimed Business Profile indicates only that administrative control of the listing has not yet been verified and assigned through Peeptown's business claiming and verification process.
The existence of an Unclaimed Business Profile should not be interpreted as evidence that the Business has registered with Peeptown, maintains an account on the Platform, participates in any Peeptown services, has purchased any subscription, has entered into a commercial relationship with Peeptown, or has reviewed, approved, or endorsed the information displayed within the listing.
An Unclaimed Business Profile remains publicly accessible in accordance with the Platform's functionality and applicable policies. Until a Business Listing is successfully claimed, the listing may contain only the information that has been submitted through the Platform and approved for publication in accordance with this Policy. Administrative features reserved for verified Business Owners or Authorized Representatives may remain unavailable until the claiming and verification process has been successfully completed.
Business Owners and Authorized Representatives are encouraged to claim their Business Listings to obtain administrative access and maintain accurate Business Information. Claiming a Business Listing enables an authorized representative to manage the information associated with the listing, respond to customer interactions where applicable, update business details, access available business management features, and utilize additional Platform functionality that may be made available from time to time, subject to the applicable subscription terms, verification requirements, and Platform policies.
The existence of an Unclaimed Business Profile does not prevent a Business Owner or an Authorized Representative from requesting ownership of the listing at a later date. Upon successful completion of Peeptown's verification procedures, administrative control of the Business Listing may be granted to the verified representative without affecting the continued existence of the listing unless otherwise determined by Peeptown in accordance with this Policy or applicable law.
Peeptown reserves the right to maintain, restrict, suspend, merge, archive, or remove an Unclaimed Business Profile where it reasonably determines that such action is necessary to comply with applicable laws, enforce Platform policies, prevent fraudulent activity, eliminate duplicate listings, resolve ownership disputes, protect intellectual property rights, preserve the integrity of the Platform, or improve the quality and accuracy of the business directory.
Nothing in this Policy grants any individual or entity ownership of an Unclaimed Business Profile merely because it exists on the Platform or because a User originally submitted the listing. Administrative control of an Unclaimed Business Profile shall be granted only after Peeptown has determined, through its verification procedures, that the requesting party is authorized to represent the Business. Until such verification has been completed, Peeptown may decline, suspend, or postpone any request relating to the administration or transfer of the Business Listing where it reasonably considers such action necessary to protect the interests of the Business, Platform users, or the integrity of the Platform.
