Legal Requests & Complaints Policy
Temporary Measures During Investigation
While reviewing a legal request or complaint, Peeptown may take temporary measures when necessary to protect users, businesses, the Platform, or the integrity of an ongoing investigation.
Temporary measures may be applied where Peeptown reasonably believes that immediate action may be necessary due to factors including:
- potential fraud, deception, or misuse of the Platform;
- suspected impersonation or unauthorized representation;
- potential violations of privacy, intellectual property rights, or applicable laws;
- content that may create safety, legal, or reputational risks;
- requests from government authorities, courts, or regulatory bodies; or
- circumstances where waiting for the completion of an investigation may cause harm.
Depending on the circumstances, temporary measures may include:
- limiting the visibility of certain content or business profiles;
- restricting specific Platform features;
- temporarily disabling interactions, enquiries, bookings, or other functions;
- placing a review hold on affected content;
- requesting additional verification or documentation;
- preserving relevant records or information; or
- applying other reasonable safeguards.
Temporary measures are precautionary and do not represent a final determination that a violation has occurred. Peeptown may modify, remove, or continue such measures based on the outcome of its review.
Where appropriate and legally permitted, Peeptown may notify affected parties about temporary actions and provide an opportunity to submit additional information or clarification.
Peeptown reserves the right to take immediate action without prior notice where required to protect users, comply with legal obligations, prevent harm, preserve evidence, or address urgent risks.
